It’s time to learn a little about MassPay’s founder and president, Jason Maxwell:
Here is Jason and his four daughters, Rosalie, Mallory, Natalie, and Hillary outside of a castle in Doolin, Ireland. Rosalie’s singing debut at a pub in Clifden, Ireland!
Name: Jason Maxwell
City/State of Origin: Saugus, MA. Where small town America meets big city living.
Position at MP: President
Favorite part of working at MP:
Through MassPay, I have been blessed to build strong relationships with teammates, external partners and mentors that are really important to me. I love being part of a winning team that is truly committed to delivering a positive experience and positive results for our clients.
Favorite activity outside of work: Creating memorable experiences with my four daughters. I enjoy taking them on ambitious vacations and spontaneous day trips that involve little planning.
3 Things most people don’t know about you:
1. Although 87.5% of my family roots are Irish, I am a “Mayflower descendant”. Some of my ancestors named Hopkins were aboard the Mayflower. I enjoy learning about my family’s ancestry.
2. It took me 5 years to graduate from college. This was partially a result of my transfer from Salem State College to Salve Regina University (not just excessive partying).
3. My “Al Bundy” story: My athletic career peaked when I was 12 years old. I batted clean up and played third base for the Saugus National Little League All Star team. I had the great privilege to play for a great little league coach named Charlie Bilton. Charlie taught me the importance of self-discipline, leadership, self-sacrifice, winning and teamwork. Our team in 1991 was town champs with a record of 22-1. Charlie taught me how exciting it feels to be part of a winning organization at a young age. My baseball career went downhill quickly when I reached “the big diamond” as a 13 year old and Charlie was no longer my coach. I still possess my Saugus National Little All Star Jacket 23 years later. That jacket will always be one of my most valuable possessions because of what it represents.

As always, we hope you’ve enjoyed getting to know a little more about our Team!
Have a great weekend, everyone!
