As we get ready to wrap up another successful year at MassPay, we’d like to take a look at some of the attributes that we here at MassPay pride ourselves on, as well as some over-all good practices which promote positive company culture as a whole.
At MassPay, we believe that company culture is not just about being better than our competition. Our reputation as a company is not only what sets MassPay apart, it is what makes our company different than the others – it is our WOW factor. Whether that means transforming the office into a Winter Wonderland, hosting our annual Fed Up With Cancer event, or our Holiday Donation Drive, we here at MassPay believe activities such as these are what really humanize a company. (Because, we are, after all, humans.) People want to relate with the companies that they work with. Showing a potential customer that your employees all genuinely love their job will make them more willing to work with you. People want to see a company that has employees who are willing to work hard internally, and in turn, will work equally as hard for a client.
There are no defined rules on creating positive values, in fact, we believe that they are unique to each individual company. These values are not formed over night. In fact, they are usually established over time, by being living and breathing examples of them. It is recommended that as a company, you hire first based upon your company values, and next on a potential employee’s skill set.
Our final piece of advice will be to live your values. You have to make a conscious effort to shape your company’s culture. It will not be easy, and will not be an over-night task. True value develops over time, so hard work will be required. Most people spend more time with coworkers than they do with their own families, so we believe you should love what you do, and who you do it with.
