BEVERLY, MA, February 10, 2016 — The Greater Beverly Chamber of Commerce (GBCC) named MassPay the “Large Business of the Year” at its annual Awards Dinner held at the Danversport Yacht Club last night.
The criteria for the Large Business of the Year category included a local business with a record of longevity, stability, and success that demonstrates community consciousness with civic/community involvement.
MassPay supports many community groups in the Beverly area, but is most well know for fundraising events through its non-profit Fed Up With Cancer, which supports cancer research and patient programs at the North Shore Cancer Center facilities in the area. In January 2016, MassPay presented a check for $22,000 to the NSCC from its “Taste of Country” fundraiser. See MassPay’s Community page for activities and other organizations supported.
MassPay Sales and Marketing team members were on hand to accept the Large Business of the Year award in person. The acceptance speech, delivered by Marie Donohue, highlighted that “MassPay believes that keeping dollars local enhances the local economy and has a positive impact on our community.”
Donohue also said that “one of MassPay’s core values is “love community” but tonight we thank you, the Greater Beverly business community, for the love that we get back. You help us feed our employees, fund our growth and take care of our business needs. Through our partnership, you help us improve our client experience.”
The Greater Beverly Chamber of Commerce Large Business of the Year Award follows a tremendous 2015 for MassPay, which included being named to the Inc. 5000, recognition as a Boston Business Journal Pace Setter (fastest-growing private companies in Massachusetts), and earning a prestigious Boston Business Journal “Best Place to Work Award” which reflects the positive culture, work environment, and satisfaction of MassPay employees.
