MASSPAY’S JASON MAXWELL NAMED TO NORTH SHORE 100

Local Leader Making A Difference In Our Future

BEVERLY, Mass. (March 25, 2011) – The Salem News has named Jason Maxwell, President of MassPay, as one of its North Shore 100.  Maxwell received several nominations for the accolade, which highlights local leaders making a difference.

Maxwell was honored for his many charitable initiatives including, Fed Up With Cancer, a charity event that raised $12,000 for the North Shore Cancer.  The first-time event drew more than 300 people to the Danversport Yacht Club for food, live music, and a silent auction.

Maxwell has been affected by cancer in many ways.  He was a child when he lost his father to the disease.  His brother-in-law died at age 38.  One of his employees has cancer and there are many survivors at MassPay.

“I felt a sense of calling that my team and I needed to do something to respond,” Maxwell said.  “We were thrilled with the success of Fed Up With Cancer and look forward to making it bigger and better this year so we can make an even larger donation to the North Shore Cancer Center.”

As a result of Fed Up With Cancer and all that he has done to support The Mass General/North Shore Cancer Center, Maxwell was named to the Steering Committee for the 2011 North Shore Cancer Walk.
